Barra were by far the better team...quicker,bigger,stronger,but Lancaster played pretty well.The back five (4+ Wolfie) looked like a decent unit,Rushton was outstanding,Stringfellow not far behind.Fildes looks good,Jackson had a good game too,dropping off the defence to pick the ball up,Helliwell & Entwistle did more than was required for most of the game.All in all more than satisfactory,with plenty of positives for the season ahead.

Towards the end of the game, 1 of the Barrow players told us that the team they had out was a mix & match of 1st team, reserves & 2rd team as they have a game tomorrow night too. However talking to 1 of our players today, I was told that it had been put to them that seeing as Barrow had had no fixture Saturday just gone, last night's Barrow team was pretty much their 1st team. If that is the case, Barrow will struggle next season.
