I think you would go down well on a stage...one of those stages with a dangly bit of rope & a trap door just below it...in fact,you'd go down with quite a thump...& quickly too

Not like me to be pedantic Steve, but he wouldn't go down at all. He'd just dangle from the rope, a few inches above an open trap door. Just saying like.

True. Many points to consider here: 1. The quality, strength and durability of the rope. 2. The strength of the connection between the rope and something solid. 3. The effectiveness of the knot in the rope. Then again, it worked OK when they did it to Saddam didn't it?
