The best holidays are DIY type. Book your flight, and the fist couple of nights on-line, and then take it as it comes. In the last 5 years me and Doris have done: Bangkok/Kanchanaburi/Chiang Mai. Kanchanaburi is famous for The Bridge over The River Kwai, and The Death Railway. Four weeks campervanning round the North and South Islands of New Zealand. Before NZ we kicked-off with 5 days in Sydney, and ended up in Melbourne. Great tme, and the 2003 Rugby World Cup was in full flow as well. A couple of weeks in deepest Bulgaria. That was a real challenge, as finding anyone who speaks English was very rare, and they use a funny script, which might just as well have been Arabic, so reading or finding directions was impossible. Morocco. Flew into Marrakesh. Brilliant, atmospheric place, and not for the faint hearted. A few days there, and onward by train to Casablanca, Fez, Rabat, and then back to Marrakesh. Casablanca is a shit-hole, with a couple of decent fish restaurants. The souks of Fez literally take you back to the Middle Ages, and Rabat the Capital is very French and cosmopolitan. The Czech Republic in November. By heck it was cold. Prague is a mini-Paris, without the Parisians and the dog-shit. It's easy to get round on foot, and lots to keep you interested for a few days. We stayed in a cell in the old Secret Police HQ! From Prague we went south by train. It was non-stop snow, and everything was virgin white. They like the Fat Contollers on Czech trains, and some reminded me of Mad Cyril. The best place we visited was Ceske Budevice, which is the home of Budweiser Budvar (not to be confused with the yankee crap). I'm getting boring now, so will have to a Part 2 later  Miss LB, we went to Majorca in January. We went up North and thought Alcudia and places around there were v.nice. But it was quiet and hardly any tourists, just how me and Doris like it.

I was a bit concerned that the site's bandwidth wouldn't cope with Miss LBs holiday list. I had an exciting trip to Tenerife. Exciting that is if your interested in plumbing and bathroom decor. :(
