Salford Game
Yeh...so...what the f.uck was that all about? The best way to attract more people to come to games is to lose to the winless bottom of the league team in such pleasant viewing circumstances. Everyone wants to go to watch a team that didnt even manage to get into the qualifying rounds of the FA Cup. We definatley need to improve if we're aiming for promotion. So far we've scraped a win against Harrogate, got hammered by Skem, drawn with Curzon, had ONE decent display against a poor Halifax side and lost today. On a positive note, Ubes has shown he should be starting at right back. He's been immense. And we still have a stupid amount of cups to try to do something successful in. Just a shame that the FA Cup is the one everyone cares about.

We were poor,but had enough chances to put the game to bed before they even got a sniff.Why take Helliwell of when Entwistle was so ineffective?Mike Rushton gets in some great positions,but we need an end product,otherwise it is all pointless(or cupless in this case!).Was Ubes injured?...if not,why replace him (he was my motm)

Had we won we'd have said it was sound display. We need to put away more of the chances we get ... they have cost us in the last two games. At the end you could sense only one team was going to win, when they missed in the last minute I thought that's it replay Tuesday night. Sods law they hit a shot through a crowd of players it hits the post and goes in. Difficult game next week on the slope in Ossett, we need to kick on from here rather than think what may have been.... anyway somewise person did predict Salford - Atherton LR in the next round .. bet he wishes he had been down the bookies now!

So desperately disappointing; a home draw against the team at the bottom of the league and we blow it and lose the chance of some extra income. Let's hope we're not in for another season of mid-table mediocrity.

Promotion is what really matters this season. Any cup run as got to be a bonus.

The money from an FA Cup run would have come in handy if we are to push for promotion.

went to the salford game, city are just lacking some cutting edge and the final ball, so many times they get themselves in to good pos and then waste the ball or the ball gets stuck under their feet ie rushton. In defence there lacking someone who can get trid of the ball, there seems too much confusion, just boot the ball away, in recent weeks goals seem to come from defenders trying to play out of the area rather than getting rid of the ball. Also much as i am a fan of Mark Thornely, he does not command is area enough. well enough of my winge rick
