shaymen trip to the axe looking forward to our encounter in 18 days time, just booked overnight accommodation at the royal hotel in the city centre supposedly over a tapas bar.quite a few of us are stopping in lancaster and if we get off to a decent start , I would think there would be a large following from halifax, and looking at a post of one of your faithful to the harrogate forum about noise ,we are definately up for a song or two.

Well in the opening game of last season we established a new City NPL record with 2,257 there, so if you lads can bring 2,000 we might equal it!

Sadly I'll not be able to make this one - should do our trip to the Shay though.

Try the curry house on Castle Hill, quite close to the ground( Shabab or something like that),and obviously near the Castle!, or The Sultan Of Lancaster, just round the corner from where you are staying

Interesting, my mate went Shabab or whatever its called, and his party of 4 had what sounded like a terrible culinary experience. As for The Sultan, its dry isn't it? Which is a bit of a downer. I've been once and it was decent, but not as exceptional as reports had suggested.

well thanks for the info, dont fancy a dodgy curry or a dry house, but no doubt there are some reputable eateries in your fair city, and we are bound to latch onto one of them. :)
